Our Plastic Patriotism

By Keeping It Unreal – July 6, 2018

Today Americans will celebrate Independence Day. There will be fireworks, and cookouts, and hot dog eating contests. The Sci-Fi Channel will probably run their usual Twilight Zone marathon. The alleged “History” Channel will almost certainly waste air space with absurd shows like American Pickers.

There will be little mention anywhere about the War for Independence, our revolt against England. There’s a good reason for this; no politician, and no mainstream “journalist” wants to focus any attention on how this country was born. That’s the last thing a corrupt ruling elite wants to do; remind those they rule over that their ancestors violently overthrew a much less powerful tyranny.

In my upcoming book, Crimes and Cover-Ups in American Politics: 1776-1963, I’ll examine some “hidden history” of our Founders and their revolution. Things like the shameful treatment of Thomas Paine, the forgotten Shays and Whiskey Rebellions, the human skeletons found in Benjamin Franklin’s home, and the ongoing disinformation campaign to transform the most enlightened man of his age, Thomas Jefferson, into a despicable “racist.”

I have remarked before on the curious phenomenon of Hollywood ignoring the Founding Fathers. Even during the Golden Age of Hollywood, not a single picture was made about George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin, John or Samuel Adams, or John Hancock. In fact, the film colony tended to mention the American Revolution itself only sparingly. Again, there was an obvious reason for that; those in charge don’t want to mention anything about the forcible removal of a previous, much less rotten bunch of rulers.

Instead, over the course of time, American “patriotism” has been converted into a ghoulish worship of state power, exemplified by the finger-pointing “Uncle Sam” figure. Modern Americans adore the flag, but not the Constitutional system of checks and balances. And certainly not the Bill of Rights. No one seems to like them.

This all happened gradually. The senseless War Between the States, known popularly as the Civil War by the northern victors, consolidated power in the central government, and permitted the first imperial presidency. Lincoln’s persistent unconstitutional actions, and the failure to recognize them as such, paved the way for the countless future transgressions against the Constitution, and the civil liberties of the people.

By the time World War I rolled around, “Uncle Sam” posters propped up everywhere. The growing power of the establishment press, combined with the blossoming film world, created lovable dough boys and whipped  up hatred against the dirty “Krauts,” the dreaded “Hun.” Opponents of the pointless conflict were thrown into prison, including the noted socialist Eugene Debs. This was not merely a renewal of John Adams’ Alien and Sedition Acts, but overt approval of the precedent Lincoln set with his diabolical roundup and illegal imprisonment of his political opponents.

The word “patriot” originally meant a revolutionary, a colonist who supported the fight for independence from Great Britain. By now, it has become solidified in the public mind as someone who flies and salutes the flag proudly, supports our brave military and thanks the troops regularly for their “service.”

The original radical revolutionaries, the Sons of Liberty, would be aghast at mindless, modern American patriotism. The colonists wanted free and independent states, with a central government that had very limited power. No Founding Father outside of Alexander Hamilton- the central banking devotee who is so beloved now by our culture- would support our overreaching federal government, fueled by politically correct authoritarianism.

It’s an indictment of American gullibility that a play glorifying the only Founding Father who loved debt and the banking racket, Alexander Hamilton, has become a popular Broadway smash. Not only that, but he’s not a dead white male, like all the other Founders. He’s black and hip, and a talented rapper. It’s a certainty that virtually none of the almost exclusively white audiences for the play know the least bit about the real history of Hamilton, let alone the real history of our founding. I would venture that a good portion of them believe Hamilton really was black.

It was probably predictable that July 4th celebrations would revolve around fireworks, and flag worship, instead of liberty and unalienable rights. No one remembers the Declaration of Independence any more, and that’s a good thing for our leaders. Just reading about a formal protest against finely detailed acts of tyranny, might give even our comatose sheeple reason to pause. Instead, there are always choruses of “USA! USA!” to guide them in the proper direction.

Police State in Slo-Mo

by Jeff Thomas – July 03, 2018

For many years, I’ve forecasted that the US will evolve into a police state; that it will begin slowly; then as more and more freedoms are removed, the creation of the police state will accelerate.

We’re now seeing that acceleration, as more and more Americans are detained, questioned, and having their property confiscated than ever before.

As an example, in 2016, some 20,000 travellers in and out of the US were stopped, often at random. Typically, their baggage was searched, their documents photocopied, access codes to their electronic devices demanded and their files copied. In most cases, no explanation was given, but they were advised that if the search was refused, they would be detained indefinitely.

The following year, in 2017, the numbers of people detained rose by 50%, to 30,000.

It’s important to note that the travellers were not threatened with arrest, which suggests that the authorities were working on the basis that the Patriot Act of 2001 allows all of the above activities—without cause being given, without a warrant being obtained, without access to a phone call or legal representation being allowed, and that the individuals in question may be detained, indefinitely.

This, of course, is in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution, which states that people have the right “to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.”

However, when people travel, they are particularly vulnerable, so the travellers in question are extremely unlikely to refuse. They understand that, “indefinitely” means, “until a Supreme Court ruling is passed, overturning the Patriot Act as unconstitutional.” If it hasn’t happened yet and isn’t under consideration, it’s safe to say that the level of police state allowed under the Patriot Act is permanent.

Police States have been implemented countless times throughout history. They tend to be most prominent where collectivism has already been instituted.

Nassim Taleb Slams “These Virtue-Signaling Open-Borders Imbeciles” In 3 Short Tweets

by Tyler Durden – July 03, 2018

As liberals across America continue to attempt to one-up one another with the volume of virtue they can signal, specifically on the question of ‘open borders’ – especially since ‘jenny from the bronx’ victory over the weekend, none other than Nassim Nicholas Taleb unleashed a trite 3-tweet summary of how farcical this argument is…

What intellectuals don’t get about MIGRATION is the ethical notion of SYMMETRY:

1) OPEN BORDERS work if and only if the number of pple who want to go from EU/US to Africa/LatinAmer equals Africans/Latin Amer who want to move to EU/US

2) Controlled immigration is based on the symmetry that someone brings in at least as much as he/she gets out. And the ethics of the immigrant is to defend the system as payback, not mess it up.

Uncontrolled immigration has all the attributes of invasions.

3) As a Christian Lebanese, saw the nightmare of uncontrolled immigration of Palestinians which caused the the civil war & as a part-time resident of N. Lebanon, I am seeing the effect of Syrian migration on the place.

So I despise these virtue-signaling open-borders imbeciles.

The Trump-Putin Peace, Trade and Friendship Talks

by Brian Cloughley – Feb 07, 2018

News that a meeting has been arranged between Presidents Trump and Putin on 16 July was greeted with displeasure in many sectors of the western world, and especially by the military-industrial complex, the cabal of war-profiteering US and European oligarchs whose interests lie solely in maintaining their lucrative arms manufacturing empires. Trade is most important to them — but peace and friendship come way down their page of priorities, because it is enmity and distrust that lead to lucrative sales of weapons.

UK newspapers reacted predictably to the news, with the right wing Daily Mail stating “Fears are mounting that Donald Trump wants a ‘peace deal’ with Vladimir Putin that could fatally undermine NATO. Ministers are becoming increasingly alarmed that the US president could offer the Russian president deep concessions such as withdrawing forces from Europe.”

The Times of London recorded that “One [UK government] minister told the Times: ‘What we’re nervous of is some kind of Putin-Trump ‘peace deal’ suddenly being announced. We could see Trump and Putin saying, Why do we have all this military hardware in Europe? and agreeing to jointly remove that. ‘It’s hard to be against peace, but would it be real peace?’”

Yes, it would be real peace, because what Russia wants is amicable relations and trade. Trade with the US and the EU and China and every country that wants to trade — including, most importantly, the Baltic States that have been encouraged by the Pentagon-Brussels NATO High Command to imagine that Russia is poised to invade them.

The US defence secretary, General James Mattis, told Estonia’s minister of defence that “Russia is trying to change international borders by force” and at meetings in May with Lithuania’s president and Baltic defence ministers “reassured US allies in the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia of American solidarity with them and of US determination to defend Baltic and other NATO territory against any aggression.”

Of all the absurd concoctions swinging round the Western propaganda world at the moment, the notion that Russia wants to invade Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania is probably the least believable and most laughable. The Russian government fully realises that such action would inevitably result in wider conflict; and that there could be escalation to a shattering nuclear war. Even if it didn’t result in global catastrophe, the occupation of any one of these countries by Russian forces would be cripplingly costly in every way and simply doesn’t make sense.

In the context of the impending US-Russia presidential talks, not a single Western media outlet mentioned that, as detailed in the 2018 World Report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), “In 2017 the USA spent more on its military [$610 billion] than the next seven highest-spending countries combined… at $66.3 billion, Russia’s military spending in 2017 was 20 per cent lower than in 2016.”

It would be awkward and indeed embarrassing for the Western media to give prominence to SIPRI’s indisputable statement that in 2016 “NATO’s collective military expenditure rose to $881 billion” while “European NATO members spent $254 billion in 2016 — over 3 times more than Russia.”

Russia is reducing its expenditure on defence while the US-NATO military alliance, as noted by Radio Free Europe, agreed on 7 June to “reinforce NATO’s presence in a potential European crisis with the deployment of 30 troop battalions, 30 squadrons of aircraft, and 30 warships within 30 days — the so-called ‘Four 30s’ plan.” This, said the Secretary General of the US-NATO military alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, presumably with a straight face, is not “about setting up or deploying new forces — it is about boosting the readiness of existing forces across each and every ally.”

Revealed: The towering NSA ‘spy hubs’ hidden in plain sight in cities across the country ‘peering into Americans’ lives from their own backyards’

by Sara Malm – June 26, 2018

The National Security Agency is using internet data processing centers run by telecommunications powerhouse AT&T to spy on American and foreign citizens, a new investigation claims.

The Intercept has identified eight AT&T facilities across the United States which are allegedly being used by the NSA to monitor internet users’ emails, social media posts and internet browsing.

The centers are known as ‘peering’ facilities’ and processes data from both AT&T customers and those of other U.S. internet providers, as well as telecoms companies fromSweden, India, Germany and Italy.

Spy HQs: This map shows the eight locations of the AT&T facilities allegedly being used by the NSA to spy on internet users

‘It’s eye-opening and ominous the extent to which this is happening right here on American soil,’ said Elizabeth Goitein, co-director of the Liberty and National Security Program at the Brennan Center for Justice told The Intercept.

‘It puts a face on surveillance that we could never think of before in terms of actual buildings and actual facilities in our own cities, in our own backyards.’

All eight buildings, in cities such as Los Angeles, NYC, Seattle and Washington DC, have several things in common, as well as being AT&T facilities.

They are tall and imposing structures with few or blacked out windows, and – either seemingly or confirmed to be – built to withstand a nuclear attack.

The buildings are located on 10 South Canal Street in Chicago, 1122 3rd Avenue in Seattle, 811 10th Avenue in New York City, 30 E Street Southwest in Washington DC, 51 Peachtree Center Avenue in Atlanta, 611 Folsom Street in San Francisco, 4211 Bryan Street in Dallas and 420 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles.

Same same, but different: The AT&T buildings, such as this one in Washington DC, are all tall and imposing structures with few or blacked out windows

By tapping into wires in these ‘peering’ facilities, the NSA can collect ‘not only AT&T’s data, they get all the data that’s interchanged between AT&T’s network and other companies,’ according to Mark Klein, a former AT&T technician who worked with the company for 22 years, told The Intercept.

‘The peering links, by the nature of the connections, are liable to carry everybody’s traffic at one point or another during the day, or the week, or the year,’ he added.

The Intercept interviewed several former AT&T employees who confirmed the locations of the eight ‘peering sites’ used by the NSA.

Alternative News Harvard Research Scholar Explains How America Created Al-Qaeda & The ISIS Terror Group

by – June 26, 2018

It’s truly amazing how much the consciousness of the planet has changed within the past 5 years alone, and it’s not just happening within one topic, but in several different areas ranging from health to geopolitics and everything in-between.

People are really starting to wake up and see through the mass amounts of propaganda and lies we are continuously fed via the mainstream media, with regards to global events and other major areas that surround all aspects of humanity.

Known as “the father of public relations”, Edward Bernays sums it up quite well,

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are moulded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of .” – Propaganda, 1928

This massive ‘awakening’ I am referring to has become evident, as words such as “deep state” and “false flag terrorism” have now become commonplace within mainstream media rhetoric, with multiple global politicians referencing it frequently. Take Russian president Vladimir Putin for example, on more than one occasion he has called out the western military alliance, and the “magical” and “mythical” threats they create to justify economic and geopolitical action & intervention into other countries for ulterior motives.

Or how even Syrian president, Bashar Al-Assad, explained how Donald Trump is just another tool for the Deep State. The acknowledgement of the Deep State is huge as multiple presidents and politicians have been trying to tell the American public about it for years.

Callowhill, Philadelphia

by Linh Dinh – June 2, 2018

I’m sitting in a spacious bar, Love City, that was once a factory. Too slicked up, it’s not quite a ruin bar, of the kind you find in Budapest. The patrons are mostly hipsters and yuppies, but with a handful of Joe Sixpacks thrown in. Looking like contractors, they’re probably fixing properties in this rapidly gentrifying neighborhood.

On the way here, I spotted a few homeless lurking in the underpasses, beneath the Reading Railroad train trestle. Long disused, it’s being turned into a beautiful park, so soon enough, you’ll find the haves walking their dogs, jogging or sunning themselves above, with the have nots sleeping on dirty mattresses, or going to the toilet, below. They’ll probably all be shooed away. Problem solved.

After talking to three black men, a once-pretty white woman scrambled up an embankment. Reeking of urine, a groggy black dude asked me for change, as did a black lady waiting at a bus stop. A handful of tourists tittered outside the Edgar Allan Poe house.

Since a 20 oz. Love City Lager is a reasonable $5, I have one in front of me as I upload three photos, just taken in the neighborhood.

One is of a sign on a corner grocer’s door, “No Weapons Allowed / Detection Devices On Premise / Upon Detection/ Police Will Be Notified Immediately!” Beneath it is an ad for Newport, aimed at a black clientele, obviously, though you’re not supposed to notice that, since we’re all the same, remember? This is the kind of store that sells cigarettes, soft drinks, candies, potato chips, beef jerky, canned food and the only symbol of hope left for many Americans, lottery tickets.

The second photo is of a billboard, “OPIOID DETOX / GET CLEAN. / LEAVE PROTECTED,” with five white faces, and one black, all happy. Just three miles away, there are around 40 tents on sidewalks, occupied by homeless junkies, mostly white and under 35. I didn’t think Kensington could get worse, but it has.

The last is of graffiti on a long-abandoned factory, “FUCK A NAZI!”

Though it didn’t say, “FUCK A NAZI UP!” it still sounds hostile, but that’s English for you, for in this language, making love is constantly used to convey hate or calamity, as in, “I will fuck you up,” “He’s fucking with us” or “We’re fucked.”

With Trump installed, liberal, progressive Americans see Nazis everywhere, by which they mean all those who oppose having an open border, or who might identify as, God forbid, a nationalist, but a nation, by definition, can’t exist without borders or nationalists.

Believing in America shouldn’t equate to cheerleading her wars, however, and that’s where too many Joe Sixpacks have erred. In their bars, you’ll find all kinds of signs thanking soldiers and veterans, and the American flag everywhere.

A Joe Sixpack tavern accrues history organically, honors it and is grounded, like its patrons. A hipster/yuppie bar, on the other hand, is always divorced from its surroundings, and serves an anchorless crowd. Designed to make you feel au courant, it also leaves you restless, for you know that way cooler bars will appear soon, nearby. According to hipsters, the future, too, is always right around the corner, and history is just a hazy series of crimes and mistakes, to be condemned and flee from.

So hep, they identify themselves with a term from more than a century ago.

Me, I would rather get stupid in Friendly, Nickels’ or Fatsos, places where they joke about erections and blow jobs, but I’m at Love City because I’ll have to give a paid talk a few blocks away, in an hour.

At Friendly, a short, philosophical Honduran said to me, “My wife, she gives me pussy, right? But my mother,” he stared at me hard, “she gave me life!” Smiling triumphantly, Manuel gave me a fist bump, shook my hand.

After 30 years in the US, this former illegal immigrant’s English is still somewhat shaky, but you must give him much credit for doing his best to blend in. Manuel believes in a common culture.

At Fatsos, 65-year-old Rick yelled at another old head across the bar, “Would you like a blow job, Steve?”

“Sure.”

Turning to the slim, blonde, 35-year-old bartender with thick, stuck-on eyelashes, Rick petitioned, “Erin, will you take care of Steve for me? My mouth is full,” then he went back to scratching lottery tickets, on which he spends between 40 to 50 bucks a day. Each time Rick lost, he’d curse and toss the ticket onto the floor, behind the bar, for Erin to dispose of.

Nodding at me, Rick grinningly asked Erin, “Have you ever blown a Chinese guy?”

Flattering her, he then said, “Will you wipe your ass with this dollar and give it back to me?”

That kind of bantering, you won’t find at Love City, that’s for sure.

The title of my slide talk is “The Future is Asia.” Its main point, I have discussed in various essays, and it’s basically this: Nations that stress linguistic, cultural and/or ethnic unity will outlast those that don’t. Further, nations that shun their own heritage are as good as dead. For years, I have also stressed that the United States is ruled by a rootless, criminal cabal, and for pointing out something so obvious, I have had countless slurs hurled at me.

Whatever, man, I’m tired. As this ship sinks, wave that flag and snipe away!

Mellowed, I walk to my talk venue. A progressive institution, it no longer has men’s and women’s rooms, but two “All Gender” bathrooms, with only individual stalls, so that a 13-year-old girl, say, may find herself right next to me. As we do our business, we’d only be separated by a partition a good foot off the floor.

In Vietnam, they would find such an arrangement insane and felonious, but then it’s not as advanced as the US of A. The transgender spiel is a part of the campaign against masculinity. Castration is in.

As a toxic model, this criminal, decadent and deeply-confused nation can’t collapse soon enough. Americans, too, need a fresh start, though they may have to cease calling themselves American. It won’t matter much. It already doesn’t.

“You Are Unbalanced”: Hungarian Foreign Minister Shuts Down Enraged BBC Reporter Over EU Migration

The newly emboldened populist wave sweeping Europe has begun to clash with establishment EU “open border” advocates, as governments opposed to illegal mass migration dig their heels in and resist the influx of mostly North African migrants.

Europe has been sharply divided over asylum seekers – however words turned to action in early June when Italy’s brand new Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini, closed Italian ports to Non-Government Organizations (NGO) ferrying migrants into the country. The rest of Italy’s populist coalition government supported the move, fending off condemnation from “hypocritical” French President Emmanuel Macron and other EU leaders.

Perfectly capturing the current rift between populism and progressivism in Europe, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó got in a spat with BBC presenter Emily Maitlis on Monday while trying to explain why his country opposes an open-border policy.

triggered_0
“The current migration policy of the European Union can be very easily translated as an invitation in the minds of those people, who can easily make a decision to head towards Europe,” – Péter Szijjártó

When quizzed by Maitlis on Hungary’s “Stop Soros” legislation introduced in January the Foreign Minister said “There are organisations who help people to ask for asylum, even if they no legal basis for that… and they have to contend with the consequences.”

Triggered by Szijjártó’s answer, Maitlis tried to argue that anyone landing in Hungary has the right seek asylum and have their case heard, to which the Hungarian hit back:

“From the south, we are surrounded by peaceful countries, so those people who are violating our borders all came from peaceful countries like Serbia and Croatia and there’s no point of reference in any international regulations why you should be allowed or helped or assisted to violate a border between two peaceful countries.”

What we don’t want is a massive illegal influx coming from the south to us, we want to keep Hungary a Hungarian country and we don’t think by definition that multiculturalism is good… If you think so, if people in this country think so, we respect that, but please don’t put pressure on us.”

Supreme Court Rules Against Unions Mandatory Fees: “Big Loss For Coffers Of Democrats”

In a 5-4 ruling Tuesday, The Supreme Court ruled that public sector unions for state and local employees can’t force non-members to pay a “fair-share” union fee.

As The Hill details, SCOTUS ruled that the extraction of agency fees from non-consenting public sector employees violates the First Amendment.

The case centers on an Illinois law, similar to those in 22 other states, that allow public-sector unions to collect a “fair-share fee” from employees for non-political activities like collective bargaining, regardless of whether those employees belong to the union or not.

Mark Janus, a state child support specialist at the center of the case, argued against having to give up about $45 from each paycheck to the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Council 31. Doing so, he said, violates his First Amendment rights because it forces him to support the union’s messaging.

The union, AFSCME, argues it needs the “fair-share” funds to offset the significant costs it incurs negotiating working conditions for all employees. State laws allowing unions to collect these fees are justified, the union said, to avoid a situation where nonunion members get a “free ride.”

A group of 15 public sector unions, warned the court in a friend of the court brief that eliminating fair-share fees would eviscerate public sector unions, depriving them of resources they need to perform their essential public functions.

“The elimination of fair-share fees would create an all-or-nothing choice for the workers whom unions represent: pay union dues or pay nothing but still receive the benefits a union provides,” they wrote.

“In that world, many rational employees will choose to become free riders.”

President Trump seems pleased with the court’s verdict, noting that this is “big loss for the coffers of the Democrats!”
